human frogger

Crossing the street here is like entering into a game of old school frogger.

There are no crosswalks, there are no walk signals (and definitely no countdown telling you how long you have to cross the street) and pedestrians certainly do not have the right away.

You cross whenever there is an opening. Sometimes this means crossing to the middle and being in the center of things till the other side opens up. Sometimes, only sometimes, a big bus will slow down for you if you are in a group.

This was all a little terrifying at first, especially coming from the land of pedestrian that is San Francisco. But I’m pretty sure that as the days go by I’m passing onto new levels and I’ll be a frogger champ in no time.
