This past Saturday a group of the girls and I went downtown to Durbar Square to see the Teej festival. Teej is a women’s festival here in Nepal where the women fast and make offerings in honor of and to ensure the long life of their husbands. All of the women dress up in their red wedding saris (or their finest saris) and go to temples to make their offerings. It was very interesting to see and be in the middle of it.
