fresh air: Dhulikhel

So if there was one thing I was spoiled with in SF it was this: clean, fresh air.  The air isn’t so great here in Kathmandu as we’re sitting in the bottom of the valley so the pollution and dust just cling to the air.  Now that monsoon season is ending, it’s getting even worse (and it’s starting to make me sick–literally!).

With this in mind, it’s really great to get out of the city and up into the hills a bit.  In the last week I was able to make it on two short trips out of the city.  One to Dhulikhel with my Nepali rockstar friend Abhaya for one of her concerts, and one to the north of Kathmandu on a hike to a monastery with Ben, Taylor, Marissa and Hannah.
